Special Issue on “Physical method in Palliation”

Published: 2014-03-03

Guest Editor: Dr. Yufeng Zhou, PhD, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore

Physical technologies have already been used widely in the current medicine, in palliative care as well. In this special issue for Annals of Palliative Medicine, we include some physical methods in palliation: radiotherapy for metastases patients, photodynamic therapy, stent placement, radiofrequency ablation. Advances of them have provided new insights into and application in medicine, leading to better palliative outcome. Physical mechanism, technical improvement, clinical experience, and guide to practice may widen the acceptance of physical palliation by both patients and physician. The topics included and contributors of the issue are as follows.
