Dr. Eva Oldenburger is deputy head of clinic of the Department of Radiation Oncology and Department of Palliative Care of University Hospitals Leuven. She is specialized in gynecological oncology, brachytherapy and palliative radiotherapy as well as palliative care and symptom management.

She holds a PhD focused on the implementation and use of Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) in the follow-up and symptom management of patients receiving palliative radiotherapy.

Johan Menten, PhD, MD

Dr. Johan Menten is emeritus professor of Radiation Oncology at KU Leuven and a leading figure in palliative care in Belgium. He played a key role in establishing the palliative support team and the palliative care ward at the University Hospitals Leuven, demonstrating his commitment to improving palliative care and patients' quality of life. In addition to palliative care and palliative radiotherapy, his expertise extends to pediatric radiation oncology and neuro-oncology.

Throughout his career, Dr. Menten has made significant contributions to academic literature, helping to shape the field of palliative care and radiation oncology. His dedication to advancing research is further reflected in his role as the principal investigator in three consecutive European-funded international palliative research projects.
