This special series on “Oncology Nursing” was edited by Drs. Margaret I Fitch and Annie Young. The aim of this special series is to profile the development of oncology nursing as a specialty – its growth and development around the world. One cannot have a quality cancer control system in a country without nursing. Hence it is important to understand how to development and grow the practice in tandem with research and education. Leadership and policy have a significant role to play in the progress.
